Hello, it’s nice to see you.

I’m Morgan, a graphic designer with a BFA from Auburn University.
I like graphic design a lot now, but it wasn’t originally what I wanted to do.
I wanted to be an artist, so I did some minors in studio arts and art history. I really expanded my already extensive research skills and gained a lot of random traditional media knowledge as well. My stance on designing and learning to improve is that you have to participate in a bunch of different methods all the time, or it’s hard to learn new things and improve what you already know. I also firmly believe that it’s hard to improve when you work by yourself– collaborating with teammates to see what their personal process is and listening to their critique will make you improve a lot faster than working on your own! I love graphic design now, and I especially love making books. I think one of my favorite projects I ever got to do in school was my Sly Cooper concept art book, where I got to find all the official art for Sly Cooper:Thieves in Time and make it into a comprehensive art book about the development of the game as it changed hands from Sucker Punch to Sanzaru. Definitely my second favorite project was typesetting Nathaniel Hawthorne’s short story, Artist of the Beautiful. A really honorable mention that I liked working on was my Cat Cafe— I love cats, I love coffee, and I love collage. It was really exciting to be able to make a visual brand based off of everything I really enjoy.

Besides my interest in art and design, I like playing emotional story-driven video games in my free time and hanging out in near-empty coffee shops. There’s something about the lazy milling about of people, the whirr of coffee-related machines, and quiet radio that makes it so easy to focus and really enjoy what I’m doing.
